Item Description
If you weren't familiar with the work of Edouard Duval Carrié before the magnificent installation at PAMM earlier this year, surely you fell in love with his art at the museum? The artist, a long-time friend of Rhythm Foundation, has graciously donated a piece for our auction.
Bid on this small tabletop sculpture to bring the work of a locally-based but world-reknown artist into your home.
9.5" wide x 12.5" tall, made of resin with glitter glue, this piece can also be internally illuminated via embedded LED lighting. (see the third photo with a pen included for scale)
The Haitian-American artist and sculptor’s depicts lush landscapes that convey a mysterious tropical Eden and explore the complex roots of the Caribbean and Haitian iconography. His recent solo exhibition at Perez Art Museum Miami, Imagined Landscapes, was a triumph of mural-sized paintings.
Duval Carrié works much of the year in in a studio in the heart of Little Haiti, adjacent to the Little Haiti Cultural Center. Visit him there, or explore highlights of his art via his website:
