Item Description
This handmade Feathered Serpent Embroidered Vest was designed and embroidered by the women from the town of Saquiya, where BPD has partnered with the villagers to reduce chronic malnutrition. The embroidery is done on handwoven cotton fabric and is a great example of women using the time they used to spend carrying water to now increase the family income through their artisanship.
The front is accented with a beaded button and the vest hangs 40 inches long in an extra large size.
The photo of ones in the store provide another view of the intricate artwork completed by the artisans in partnership with Los Gigantes store in Antigua, Guatemala.
Item Special Note
Shipping costs via USPS Priority Mail will be responsibility of the winning bidder unless winning bidder is located within 45 miles of Cincinnati, OH. Shipping cost will be added to the total.
