Darrell has been involved in black-and-white photography for over 55 years. He has his own studio and dark room, where he does his own and contract photography. He uses 35 mm. to 4" x 5" formats and is primarily interested in landscapes with human interaction on the natural landscape. Darrell has had photos published in History Magazine, Iowa Architect, Passing Time & Traditions, Camera 35, Wood Carvers of the Upper Midwest, and in other museum publications. His works have been exhibited at Luther College and at Vesterheim Museum. He is a former "Artist of the Months" at the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce.
