About the Artist: Amanda Edwards Gomez, 30 - was born in Albuquerque, NM at Kirtland Air Force Base. She moved to Colorado in 1989 and now resides in Loveland. Amanda attended Arapahoe High School, and the Univeristy of Northern Colorado in Greely, where she majored in graphic arts. She is currently the manager for Aerial Company in Ft. Collins. Amanda Celebrated her first wedding anniversary in July to Danny Gomez.

Amanda's mask incorporates Colorado themes, including mountains and the state flower, columbines. She also wanted to honor The Denver Hospice with hands gently holding the word "HOPE", using The Denver Hospice's own design in the lettering.
