Cheryl Preheim is the weekend evening anchor.
Cheryl began reporting for 9NEWS in August of 1998, but her first experience in the 9NEWSroom was as a college intern. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado.
Her first job in journalism was at NewRadio 850 KOA. There, she worked her way up through the ranks. She worked as a producer, writer, reporter and fill-in anchor for Colorado's Morning News.
Outside of work Cheryl loves to spend time with her family, including her three young children, her friends and working with many community organizations. Cheryl has worked closely with the Ronald McDonald House for more than 15 years. It provides a "home away from home" for children who are facing life threatening illnesses.
Cheryl helped launch the "Never Shake A Baby" campaign through 9NEWS, Children's Hospital Colorado, and the KEMPE Foundation.
