Item Description

Ben Schuh earned degrees in visual art & graphic design. He considers himself a portraitist of life and believes it is critical to build relationships with his clients and to support local businesses. By doing this he can see what is going on where he lives and in the communities he travels to around the country. By learning why people are drawn to his work he is able to take their reactions and challenge himself as an artist. His original paintings can be found in homes, offices, and private collections across the US, Canada, and Europe.

I personally find cows to be calming as well as captivating and magnificent. Furthermore, I believe they have great faces and what’s better to capture on a mask than a great face? Overall, by treating this gal as a portrait I was able to capture her essence and as a result her eyes follow you around the room so you can relax with her looking over your shoulder. The title “One of the Best” is a tribute to my Uncle Jim, a truly inspiring veteran who lost his battle with hepatitis C eight months ago in Des Moines.
