Item Description

In the early ’60s, no performer exploded onto the entertainment scene with the extraordinary acclaim of young Barbra Streisand. Nearly 50 years later, there is not a star who still shines as bright or with a more beloved and shimmering luster. From the archives and hot off the presses, the best of Barbra yesterday and today.

FUNNY GIRL, 1964: An amazingly rare, typed insert from program of the January 13, 1964, first performance of FUNNY GIRL at Boston’s Shubert Theatre and a Playbill from FUNNY GIRL at Broadway’s Winter Garden Theatre. Take a moment to note that while the first act songs in Boston are similar, the second act had different songs and structure from the show that opened in New York. Both signed by Ms. Streisand.
