Item Description
Cathy Gilmore, of Australia has made the donation of this amazing Rare Bag, as with that in the Spring Fling For Lolita. I am truly blessed to have a 'best friend I have never met'.
This Rare Bag is so very special, as it will indeed be a one-of-a kind.
The photos of Lolita have never been seen before, as these were taken by our own Dr. Ingrid Visser on her last wellness check to Miami Seaquarium just a year ago June, and are being used for this bag only, and will not be reproduced for any other projects.
Not only do we have the photos of Lolita, but also of her mother, Ocean Sun, taken by and donated to the project by Miss Barbara Bender, who is thrilled to be a part of this project and any future bags that will be made.
Monika Wieland's photo of Lolita's family, the Lpod, is one of my very favorites, and Monika happily agreed to have this most special family be represented on the bag as well. (This is the reason we are all here, is to help Lolita's family and have Lolita go home to them).
Finally, as with the Spring Fling Bag, I have arranged the monogram patch on the underflap, with the autographs of Howard Garrett and Susan Berta of the Orca Network, and as busy as Ingrid Visser is, she took time from her schedule to assist, so that her autograph now is in a place of honor on this patch as well.
So, not only is this Rare Bag a beautiful, well-made purse, but it has a message to educate and inform.
Thank you Karen of Rare Bags for it's creation, Ingrid Visser for the very special photographs as well as autograph, Miss Barbara Bender for the generosity of her photograph of Ocean Sun, and Miss Monika Wieland for the best 'family portrait ever.
