The Story Behind the Shot: Topanga has always been the home to music icons - some developed their style playing at any one of a number of famous Canyon locations. Some take up residence. Some come back to groove. Such is the case of Julian Marley - son of Reggae Legend Bob Marley. While he has developed his own style - there's no denying that, when he "hangs out" in Topanga, there is more than a whiff of his father's style on the stage as well.
Artist bio: Topanga-based photographer Katie Dalsemer is the photo editor for the Topanga Messenger newspaper and a frequent contributor to the newspaper as well as the book The Topanga Story. She is also one of the gifted teachers working with inner-city children - key to the work that City Hearts is all about.
