The Story Behind the Shot: At the end of a trip to Italy, a visit to a friend in Bologna and a climb to the Sanctuario della Madonna di San Luca netted a different view of the outskirts of the city. The entire path up to the basilica was framed by rich textured porticos. They embraced the present moment - holding fast to how far the climbers had come and how far they had to go.
Artist bio: Bonnie Osborne began her career in the movie industry as a camera assistant but still photography drew her. She made the move and now shoots for everything from Nickelodeon, episodic series and independent features. When not on set, she finds every opportunity to shoot for herself - specializing in Architectural photography.
