Three Six Liter Bottles Meritage Bordeaux Blend

1992, 1993 and 1995 Pickberry Vineyard Meritage/Bordeaux blend presented in wood logo boxes.

The unique Pickberry Vineyard was planted on the sunny, rather steep, gravely slopes of Sonoma Mountain by a meticulous and farsighted couple, Cris and Lorna Strotz. At a time when most viticulturists were planting Cabernet Sauvignon or Chardonnay, the Strotz’s chose to plant a vineyard with a grape mixture similar to the vineyard of St. Emilion. Most notably Chateau Figeac with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

The vineyard is a shy bearer, producing one-and-a-half to two tons per acre; consequently, the color and flavor are quite intense. These excellent grapes, combined with Ravenswood’s traditional winemaking practices, give a wine of unparalleled elegance and complexity.

Pickberry Vineyard Meritage is dark in color with deep, sensual, dark cherry, dark berry, black plum, mocha and vanilla aroma. With its complex, full, round, layered texture, it coats the palate with intense, intoxicating flavors of black plum, cassis, currants, spice and toast.
