North Beach & Chinatown Culinary Night Tour for 4
www.exploresf.biz
Your culinary tour takes you on a delicious foodie walk through North Beach and Chinatown where any gourmand would be ecstatic to spend a few hours. As you learn about the area's history and unique cultures you will sample the best foods that both neighborhoods have to offer.
In Chinatown you will be delighted by the bustling Dim Sum houses, the small cafes, and tea shops. In addition to these usual stops, you’ll visit the fortune cookie factory, and off-the-beaten-path eateries, some that don't even have a sign denoting their existence. In Chinatown, you’ll visit Begoni, Four Seas and Vital Leaf.
You can enter an alley in Chinatown and the signs are in Chinese, then exit in North Beach next to a bar Jack Kerouac frequented. Skirting the Barbary Coast, you’ll proceed to the cafes, pizzerias, espresso houses, bakeries, and saloons of North Beach. This portion of the food tour is mostly all about Italian cuisine and you will hear Italian spoken as much as English. In North Beach, you’ll visit Bask and Caffe Macaroni.
The North Beach & Chinatown night culinary tours are held on Wednesdays at 6:30pm. Not recommended for minors. This is a walking tour and no transportation is provided. Major holidays excluded. Valid until October 19, 2015.
