Item Description

This mask was created in memory of Linda Goto by John Pugh, Art Director for Gunslinger Custom Paint.

Linda Goto is gone but never forgotten. Soft-spoken and compassionate, her professional and personal lives revolved around doing good for others. She gave willingly and generously, and will always be remembered for her kind soul. Her love of symphonic music parlayed her into a seat on the board of the Denver Symphony Orchestra; she was very active in the Denver Symphony Guild as well. Other organizations for which she volunteered included the Cancer League of Colorado, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Arapahoe House, the Historic Paramount Theater and the Cherry Creek Arts Festival.

Linda served as Events Manager for The Denver Hospice and The Mask Project for many years until her passing in 2012. Prior to becoming a paid staffer, she had been a five-year member of The Denver Hospice Board of Directors. She volunteered at the inaugural Mask Project in 1998, an event she would chair in 2002 with David Alexander. Bev Sloan, CEO for The Denver Hospice, remembers Linda as "A radiant, positive person ... who had been a dear friend and inspiration to me for 13 years."

Linda Goto touched many, many lives. She is forever loved and remembered.

John Pugh as been an artist for 35 years specializing in custom paint, fine art and abstract creations. He wanted to do something very special to honor Linda this year - "to keep her memory alive".
