Growing up can be stressful for kids today, with bullies, peer pressure, and the desire to just "fit in." Martial arts training can help your child develop the skills not only to handle these stressful situations, but also to be happy and confident in daily life.
Your Center for Asian Martial Arts gift certificate entitles a child between the ages of four and sixteen to three months of training at the Center's facility located at 1739 Centre Street in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, as well as a martial arts uniform. The Children's Program class schedule may be found here.
The Center for Asian Martial Arts' Children’s Program is geared toward teaching the fundamentals of martial arts movements, self-defense, focus, discipline, patience, confidence, and working as a team. Classes emphasize listening and respect for oneself and others, including teachers and parents.
As students move into high school, those who have obtained their Junior First Degree Black Belt have an extra edge in their college applications. Universities and colleges are looking for students who demonstrate the determination, focus, and achievement that comes with earning one’s Black Belt.
