ThirstyBear is a Certified San Francisco Green Business and the only Certified Organic Brewery in the City.
The original concept for ThirstyBear Brewing Company was to pair the ultimate social beverage, beer, with the ultimate social food, tapas. Founder and original brew master, Ron Silberstein, envisioned a space that combined artisan, hand-crafted beers with artisan Spanish cuisine.
Some of the ThirstyBear beers are designed to push the envelope of flavor and style well beyond the session beer. ThirstyBear offers the beer drinker traditional beers, unique interpretations of traditional beers and wholly unique beers. Try the Grizzly Bear Red Ale, Howard Street IPA, Polar Bear Pilsner, Panda Bear Ale, Valencia Wheat and more.
The menu at ThirstyBear changes frequently. Rethinking traditional Spanish tapas into a contemporary California context, the kitchen uses local seasonal products and sustainably harvested seafood and responsibly stewarded meats.
