Item Description
Langres is an ancient French fortified town in the Haute-Marne departement of Champagne-Ardenne. This photo was taken from the ramparts on Easter morning, 2014.
The photgraph shows a solitary woman walking up a street framed by 14th century buildings. High walls protected these medieval buildings through a fierce and brutal age, but now charm and a sense of timeless solidity prevails.
The photograph was taken by Russ Clift, a friend of ResearchILD, and is printed on archival Fuji Crystal DP ll paper mounted on aluminum dibond under UV-resistant acrylic glass in a gallery-quality light oak art box frame, 1.4" deep.
