Item Description

Red Willow Chippewa "Dance Stick" Forked at One End
Can be used for pow wows or wall decoration - Not ceremonial 

10.5" high (including leather strips) X 32" Across

Donor Twila Martin-Kekahbah is former Chair of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians and currently consults with the United Tribes Technical College and other organizations.  A former Kellogg Fellow, she is a Board member of the Rural Development Leadership Network, a member of the Office of Women¿s Health - Minority Women's Health Panel of Experts and President of the Board of the Housing Assistance Council.  She has been a business owner and Director of the Turtle Mountain Tribal College.  

This dance stick was made by her sons.
