Item Description
Celebrate the holiday season with a beautiful wreath! The 24" fresh fir wreath is accented with natural looking pomegranates resting on cinnamon sticks that are surrounded by blue berried juniper, cedar cuttings, pine cones and topped with a fluffy burgundy bow. The wreath is crafted by members of the Women's Board of the Lakewood Historical Society.
Funds raised by the Women's Board go toward furthering interest in regional cultural heritage and support the various educational programs of the Lakewood Historical Society. The profits also help maintain the Society's historic properties, The Oldest Stone House Museum and The Nicholson House.
This year's holiday wreath is paired with the book Lakewood: The First Hundred Years by Jim and Susan Borchert.
Book Notes from OhioHistory.org: "This thoroughly researched and well-written centennial history chronicles the dramatic changes, both physical and cultural, which transformed East Rockport from vineyards and orchards to suburb and eventually Cleveland satellite city. Abundantly illustrated, Borchert's book is neatly organized into fourteen chapters that alternate between general chronological narratives and what the authors refer to as vignettes, which are largely reminiscences of local residents...The over 300 illustrations are accompanied by extremely informative captions drawn from maps, drawings, advertisements, cartoons, and photos. Handsomely presented in a glossy hardbound format."
Two gifts in one! Perfect for family, friends, and lovers of local history.
