These stylized portraits of flowers by Anne-Claude Cotty originated as photographs which were liberally transformed in her computer. She refers to them as "digital constructions". Her objective in developing this series was to portray the poetic eloquence of these images.
Anne-Claude Cotty is a book artist and experimental photographer living on Deer Isle, Maine. She divides her time equally between studio practice and teaching. Her work is collected and exhibited across the country and abroad. Anne-Claude Cotty has a M.S. in Linguistics from Georgetown University and an M.F.A. in Printmaking, University of Alberta (Canada).
