The recipient will enjoy 6 bottles of Rickshaw 2012 Pinot Noir and 6 bottles of 2013 Luli Sauvignon Blanc.
The Rickshaw 2012 Pinot Noir
The 2012 Rickshaw Pinot Noir is the fourth vintage from the team at Banshee Wines. As difficult as it is to produce excellent Pinot Noir, it is even more difficult to do so at a fine value. In their development of the Banshee label, the winemakers gained a stable of quality sources for Pinot fruit from the finest AVAs in California. A large percentage of the 2012 Rickshaw is sourced from the Sonoma Coast, followed by Anderson Valley, and Santa Barbara County. To preserve the freshness of the vintage, Rickshaw barreled just 15% of the vintage in new French oak before bottling, 10% in stainless steel, and the rest in neutral barrels. From the winery: "This wine sings with unmistakable and pure Pinotosity! It has a compelling mix of raspberry, pomegranate and cherry notes combined with a stylishly integrated structure."
The Luli 2013 Sauvignon Blanc
"Perfumed and expressive. Luli Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from a very windy and cool vineyard in the neighboring Arroyo Seco appellation. The wine shows a nice blend of the tropic fruit and the greener notes often found in this variety. This wine was fermented in neutral barrels with some lees contact time and limited stirring, which enhances the beauty of the Sauvignon Blanc while maintaining a delicate and complex varietal character."
