Item Description
The successful bidder for this item will receive a carved, clear quartz crystal White Tara pendant from CrystalBuddhas.com.
All CrystalBuddhas.com carvings are iconographically accurate, based on the sacred geometry of the mandala of the deity. According to crystallographer Marcel Vogel, mentor to CrystalBuddhas.com's founder Henry Mettier, energy travels along the C axis of the crystal, from bottom to top. For this reason Mettier stands the crystal up and carves the deity from the top of the crystal. In this way the energy passes through the pendant and the mandala of the deity.
As well, crystals are constantly vibrating. Chagdud Rinpoche once said, "Where the image is, so are the blessings." When crystal is carved into the shape of the deity it creates a constantly vibrating window to the blessing energy of the deities.
Henry Mettier, founder of CrystalBuddhas.com, has been a Tibetan Buddhist practitioner for 36 years. He lived in a Tibetan Buddhist retreat center for seven years and has been producing Tibetan Buddhist sculpture for over 20 years. Mettier has produced work at the request of many lamas including His Holiness the Dalai Lama with whom Mettier worked on four separate art projects.
