Item Description
All proceeds from this sale go directly towards funding Casting for Recovery retreats for Oregon breast cancer survivors. This beautiful handmade cedar and redwood canoe was made by a past participant and her husband! It measures 14'6" in length. The strips are covered with fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin for strength. Man of War spar varnish was used for UV protection. A canoe seat can be installed but a true canoeist kneels and paddles from that position. This canoe is very silent on the water and glides easily and straight with each stroke. The builder has built three of them. This canoe has never been on the water, however the first one built spent many hours on the water and easily carried 250 pounds.
Canoe is located in Roseburg, Oregon, and can be delivered up to 150 miles away. Those beyond that distance must make their own shipping arrangements.
