Item Description
Produced by the Federal Glass Company, the Sharon, Cabbage Rose, or Rose of Sharon pattern depression glass was made in the 1930's. Depression glass was sold at low cost or given as a premium to encourage anything from purchases of food products to theater tickets during the Great Depression. Despite its inexpensive beginnings, it has always been highly collectible.
This bowl and platter set are a lovely pink tint with sprays of rose blossoms and leaves on their bases and rims. They are both in very good condition with no chips or cracks, only a few minor scratches from loving use.
A delightful remembrance of a past era.
