Are we building our families on the four pillars of "too much"--too much stuff, too many choices, too much information, and too fast? Join the slow parenting movement and learn ways to simplify and slow down your home environment, create predictable and connecting rhythms, simplify your child's weekly schedule, and find out the benefits to filtering out the adult world.
- 7 sessions of app. 90min (usually over 7-12 weeks, evenings), includes workshop material (Parent's Handling book, Audio files).
- Next Simplicity Parenting Workshops will take place in February 2015 (exact dates tbc) in Lower East - Close to the New Amsterdam school.
The group experience is:
- Based on the book, Simplicity Parenting by Kim John Payne.
- Led by Méryam Schneider, Certified Simplicity Parenting Group Coach.
- 4-12 participants, usually 7 sessions over 7-12 weeks.
- An effective blend of support, learning, discussion and integration.
- Supporting sustainable, simplifying, self-selected change .
- Enhancing loving connection at home.
- Uniting parents and in the shared endeavor of parenting.
- Exploring how to connect your parenting style and skills with your values.
You will:
- Explore Simplicity Parenting--why, how, when.
- Understand the four realms for simplifying .
- Self-select small changes in each realm.
- Learn how to design a change plan with your co-parent, family member or friend.
- Give and receive support for enacting and sustaining your doable changes at home.
- Build new connections in the group and at home.
