Item Description
The pillow features a hand painted on cloth, signed picture that is an exact replica of an ancient Chinese carved stone horse from the Tang Dynasty circa 618-906 A.D. The reproduction was produced by stone rubbing, a process in which a piece of cloth or paper is stretched over the original stone. Then the contours of the stone are rubbed or painted over. The production of each stone rubbing is a slow and individual process; color is applied in several thin layers of pigment and varies according to the artist's concept.
The pillow is new, in original packaging; with a certificate of authenticity. Pillow measures 18" wide by 12" high. The reverse side is dark brown with Chinese medallion imprint.
