Item Description

Join staffers from The Port of Bellingham, The City of Bellingham and Sustainable Connections for an exclusive, close-up look at the waterfront!

Once the mud flats at the mouth of Whatcom Creek, this area was filled and developed in the early 1900s with silt dredged from the Whatcom Waterway and fill from other sources.

The 237 acres of waterfront will be developed in stages. The first stage of development encompasses 10.8 acres nearest the granary. The entire area contains 3 miles of shoreline, will have 33 acres of parks and trails and will take decades to develop fully.

Hear the low-down first hand, get a chance to ask questions, and see a vision of the waterfront's future come to life before your eyes!

Up for bid is a walking tour of the waterfront for up to 6 people.
