ON THE RISE
Piper O’Neill received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration and Experimental Animation from Parsons School of Design in New York City, and a Masters of Communication in Digital Media from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. As a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) recipient, O’Neill uses her work to explore themes of nostalgia and inherited histories. Represented by Winston Wächter Fine Art in Seattle and Friesen Gallery in Sun Valley, Idaho, her 2014 solo exhibition at Winston Wächter was reviewed by Art in America magazine and featured on the cover of The Stranger newspaper.
“My residency at Museum of Glass is an exciting opportunity to create work that continues to address my ongoing interest of nostalgia and memory in a new medium. Further, by having access to the incredible MOG facility and Hot Shop Team, I can execute my concepts in the best possible environment and hope to really challenge myself.” — Piper O’Neill
