Item Description

You and a guest will enjoy:

1) Two (2) tickets to see Hand to God on Broadway at the Booth Theatre.

2) A backstage meet-and-greet with leading actor, Steven Boyer!

About the Show:
After a smash downtown run that earned rave reviews and a Critics’ Pick from The New York Times, Time Out New York, and New York Magazine, this new American Play comes to Broadway. The hilarious and provocative Hand to God centers on shy, inquisitive student Jason, who finds an outlet for his burgeoning creativity at the Christian Puppet Ministry in the devoutly religious, relatively quiet small town of Cypress, Texas. Jason’s complicated relationships with the town pastor, the school bully, the girl next door and-most especially-his mother are thrown into further upheaval when Jason’s hand puppet, Tyrone, takes on a shocking and dangerously irreverent personality all its own. Hand to God explores the startlingly fragile nature of faith, morality, and the ties that bind us.

STEVEN BOYER:
A Julliard graduate, Stephen Boyer made his Broadway debut months after finishing up his degree in the original cast of I’m Not Rappaport. Rather than continue in the theatre, Boyer then chose to tour the country doing Stand-up for several years. Several years later, he returned to New York to work on new theatre pieces with the Ensemble Studio Theater. It was there that his careers collided with the creation and development of Hand to God, a hilarious new play by Robert Askins that enjoyed a hit Off-Broadway run last season at MCC.

Watch Steven perform a scene from Hand to God here.
