Item Description

Fog in New York by Norman Gautreau - Print

This is a print of a painting of foggy New York Harbor with a tug boat,
Statue of Liberty, NYC skyline ... a great lower downtown NYC image.  It is on card stock and measures 24" x 20" and is ready for matting and framing.

For more than fifty years the art of Norman J. Gautreau of Revere, Massachusetts, has given pleasure to thousands.  Prints of his paintings hang in numerous households and offices throughout the country, extending even to Italy and Hawaii.

His paintings chronicaling the history of Revere Beach, MA, have especially gained widespread popularity for their evocation of a time long past but remembered by many.

His paintings tell a riveting visual story of a man who came of age during the Great Depression, saw the ravages of World War II, and suffered a devastating blow to his eyesight, yet in all that time he never lost his dream of a better world -- a world he captured in his paintings.

Norman J. Gautreau, also the author of several books, died in 2007 at the age of 90.
