Item Description

Always wanted to learn more about your trees and shrubs?  How to take care of them properly or know whether your current provider is doing a good job?  Spend an afternoon with Chuck Sherzi.  He’ll teach you how to prune, take care of your tools, and more.  He’ll customize the afternoon to fit your priorities and give you in-depth information about your plants.  All work performed on ground level (no climbing).

Chuck Sherzi, Jr. has over 30 years of experience working in the horticultural field.   He is currently a partner in Sherzi & Company, LLC performing fine gardening and estate maintenance services.  Until recently, he was a senior staff Arborist and Agronomist at Tree Specialists, Inc.  Chuck has also held positions at Boston Tree Preservation as the Director of Plant Health Care and Pumpkin Brook Organic Gardening as a Project Manager.  These positions have helped him develop his approach of integrating plant health care, best management practices, and soil health assessments as the core components of an overall landscape management plan that is developed for each property.

Mr. Sherzi holds a B.S in Plant and Soil Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an A.S. in Horticulture from Massachusetts Bay Community College, Wellesley. In addition, he is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certified arborist, Massachusetts Certified Arborist, Massachusetts Certified Horticulturist and holds a Commercial Certification as a Massachusetts Pesticide Applicator. Chuck is also accredited by the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA). Lastly, Mr. Sherzi served as an instructor of professional practice at the Landscape Institute, Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University (2005-09), developing and teaching the soils curriculum, as well as a series of landscape cultural practices workshops.
