Item Description
Spend a week in Napa Valley with 8-10 of your closest friends in a private, graceful home which sits on an acre with vineyards to the right, forest to the left, and at the base of a mountain. While there, enjoy a wine tour and tasting at Mayacamas Winery. Includes 100,000 American Express points towards airline miles.
The main house is 3000 sq. ft. with two bedrooms and a loft area which also has sleeping capabilities. Each primary bedroom has its own full bath, plus another half bath. There is also a 1000 sq. ft. guest house with another two bedrooms and a full bath. Together, the main house and the cottage sleep eight to ten people (four to five couples).
The house is 60-90 minutes from San Francisco International airport. The home is located in the heart of Napa’s Rutherford Vineyard Region just across the street from Quintessa Vineyards and below Auberge du Soliel Resort & Spa. It is 15 minutes from downtown Napa in one direction, or 15 minutes from downtown Calistoga in the other.

Mayacamas Vineyards is located in the Mayacamas Mountains that divide the Napa and Sonoma valleys. Near the summit of Mount Veeder, the old stone winery was dug into the side of a dormant volcano crater in the late 19th century. Fifty-two acres of vineyards are planted on mountainsides ranging from 1,800 to 2,400 feet above sea level. Obsidian arrowheads and stone grain-grinding bowls found on the property bear silent testimony to Mayacamas' first human inhabitants, the Native Americans of the Wappo tribe.
The mountain terroir at Mayacamas Vineyards, ranging from 1,800 to 2,400 feet above sea level, provides our grapes with their distinctive, intense flavors. Mount Veeder is a volcanic peak, and the soils on the mountain are complex; they include ash, tufa, sedimentary soils, and lava. Many of the slopes are steep, requiring vineyard terraces.
