Item Description
American cherry sugar chest with dove tail corners. It has two drawers in the base and turned legs. Custom made reproduction using old cherry. In the early 19th century, sugar was a luxury item. The sugar chest stored the expensive sugar cones and the nippers used to cut them. The chest protected the sugar from insects and theft.
Warm wood and an imposing silouette make this handsome chest a must have for you to use and enjoy. Ample storage, too!
43" high, 26" wide and 19" deep
