Item Description
Joel Goldes holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from UC Irvine and has been a dialect coach for more than 20 years. He's coached Kevin Costner, Jessica Chastain, Robin Williams, Will and Jaden Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Nicolas Cage, Julia Ormond, Ken Jeong and many others. Projects have included Gotham, Hatfields & McCoys, Fury, NCIS:Los Angeles, Boardwalk Empire, Nymphomaniac, After Earth, True Blood and others. Joel has also coached CEOs, CFOs, company presidents and many other corporate professionals in the general American accent.
Joel says, "Pick an accent you've always wanted to learn (like Standard British, Cockney, German, New York, etc.), and we'll go over the fundamentals of that accent and then try the accent on some text."
Your session will be recorded for later review and you’ll also receive samples of native speakers of the accent. Alternatively, you may use your session to learn how your own accent differs from a typical American accent and to begin learning some of those new sounds.
