Item Description
This unique violin created by Carlene Frances was made through the utilization of oil paint, rice paper, ink and found objects. Carlene was born in Michigan, but has lived in Colorado for 40 years. She has her BFA in painting and drawing from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver. She has exhibited nationally and internationally in group and museum shows. She has target painting at the Colorado School of Mines. she is currently represented by Space Gallery in Denver and Art Movement Colorado in Boulder.
Carlene states, "As a visual artist who appreciates and loves the world of music, I wanted to create a visual interpretation of the array of sounds black and white to emphasize the difference between the Adagio, soft restful tempo, and Allegro, lively brisk tempo, thus creating the harmonization of music"

Item is a standard size violin.
Item can not be shipped or picked up until after the Classically Colorado Gala event on March 8, 2015. Winning bidder must pay all shipping and insurance costs, if not personally picking up the item.
