Item Description
Barbara Froula created this unique Painted Violin using oil as a media. Her paintings reflect her background in architecture and her love for the urban landscape. Her garden paintings are inspired by the challenge of capturing luminosity and color. Barbara attended the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and Auburn University, receiving a degree in Architecture and the AIA medal. She received an Award of Honor from Historic Denver.
Barbara's work has been commissioned by the Brown Palace Hotel, Denver Performing Arts Center, Central City Opera Association, KVOD Radio and History Colorado. She exhibits her original work, cards, books and prints in her gallery at 186 South Pennsylvania Street.
Barbara states, "Wild orchids growing on the island of Kauai inspired a theme connecting music and nature, harmony and color, and the wonderful healing aspect art and music have in our lives."
