Item Description
This family Marimba Lesson is taught by MyLinda King, a ten-year member and former musical director of Portland's popular marimba band, BOKA MARIMBA. At Boka Marimba's former studio, students learn to play high-energy marimba music from Qimbabwe on seven African-style marimbas (wooden xylophones played with rubber mallets) and hosho (gourd shakers). The marimbas range in size from the sit-down soprano to the five-foot booming bass.
No prior musical experience necessary.
