Item Special Note
Anni Albers (1899-1994) was a German-American textile designer and printmaker who studied at the Bauhaus in Germany. Perhaps the best-known textile artist of the 20th century, her works are shown in galleries and museums throughout the world. Albers was the first designer to have a one-person show at the Museum of Modern Art , New York. She lived in Connecticut with her husband, Josef.
