Mountain bike through the Redwoods! Shuttle Smith Adventures offers bike shuttles daily to the top of Forest of Nisene Marks, where you can rail the challenging singletrack loops of Soquel Demonstration Forest. This is the area made famous in mountain biking videos by locals Cam and Tyler McCaul, Greg Watts, Jamie Goldman and others. You sit in the comfort of the Shuttle Smith van on the gorgeous drive up through apple orchards and redwoods and then, when you’re done riding the renowned Ridge, Braille and other trails, you’ve got nothing but endless downhill awaiting you — a whole 15 miles of forest descent at your own pace, back to Aptos Village just south of the city of Santa Cruz. You can’t spend a better day on a mountain bike!
Shuttle Smith Adventures can also handle groups tailored to your schedule, convenience and riding style or ability. No one beats us when it comes to customizing an outing for your needs! Remember, you’re in world-class mountain biking country — take advantage of it while you can so you don’t get back home thinking, “Wish I’d gone mountain biking in Santa Cruz!”
Also: Any questions on routes, times, technicality or difficulty of trails, we’re happy to help answer. Consider Shuttle Smith your all-in-one resource for riding the Santa Cruz mountains, internationally renowned in movies, DVDs and Web sites as one of the world’s prime mountain biking regions.
