A Dermatologist is responsible for making accurate diagnosis with their patients—this is done by extensively examining their patient’s skin and considering health symptoms that might play a role in the skin condition. As everything else in life, some condition are very easy and simple to diagnose, but you also get the more complicated and sometimes rare conditions that makes the work of a Dermatologist so much more intense. Some of the more day-to-day condition a Dermatologist will deal with includes eczema, acne, fungal infections and dermatitis. Other things that a Dermatologist will deal with are birthmarks and skin cancers.

Dr. Avshalumova is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. Dr. Avshalumova specializes in medical, surgical, cosmetic dermatology, and cares for both adult and pediatric patients. She graduated at the top of her medical school class and was recognized by Psi Sigma Alpha, a national Honor society of osteopathic medicine.
