Les Amoureuses is the most famous and highly-respected of the Premier Cru climats in Chambolle-Musigny, and this wine shows why. Regularly rated at 93 points and higher, this is a wine for a special day. And as this bottle often sells for over $225, this is a unique opportunity.
Some reviews: Big, deep dark red color. Cherry, raspberry and loganberry flavors show on the palate with notes of toasty oak. Shows an elegant focus on the palate, with a long and rather vinous finish. This is very long and elegant, finely honed, with perfumed nose. As Frédéric Mugnier said: "Fuées is from the earth, and Amoureuses is from the air." (Keith Wollenberg, K&L Burgundy Buyer) Very subtle and complex. Very intense and very, very lovely.
