Item Description

Certificate for $75 toward a spot in one of the Summer Rock Band Classes.

Not for beginners; for students between the ages of 12 and 17.

The classes are arranged by different ages and experience.  There are 4 guitars, bass & drums in each class.  Students sign up and let us know what weeks they are available and then the levels are arranged. The total cost for the class is $425.00 ($75 certificate leaves a balance of $350 that can be paid the week of the class).

Valid for summer of 2015 classes scheduled for:
week of July 13th
week of July 20th
week of August 3rd

The one-week classes meet from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm Monday thru Friday at Fellowship Hall of the Memorial United Methodist Church, 867 W. Avon Rd. in Avon, CT.

The Summer Rock Band classes are taught by Paul Howard. Besides being Director and guitar instructor at Valley Music School, Paul is a former faculty member of the National Guitar Workshop and is an author and instructor for Workshop Arts and the new Internet music school, WorkshopLive!
The class performs for family and friends on Friday evening at 7:00 pm. Students bring a bag lunch and refreshments are provided. We practice for two hours in the morning, break for lunch and then continue until we stop at 3:00 pm. The main focus of the class is to learn five or six songs that we can perform together as a band on Friday night. Along the way we learn about many techniques and musical ideas that teach the students to play better and work together as a cohesive unit. We also have a lot of fun!

Certificate can be shipped within the continental US at the expense of the winner.  If shipping is requested, shipping costs will be added to the winning bid amount.  The shipping charge for this item is $2 and is non negotiable.  Certificate will be sent via USPS.  Shipping is calculated for each item won and will not be combined/reduced for winners of multiple items.  A shipping address needs to be provided via email to winterfestival2015@yahoo.com within 24 hours of receipt of winning bid notification email to ensure prompt shipping.
