Rub it--rub it good!

Meat is just meat until you season it; luckily, Heather Manley is on a mission to save the world's meat, one piece at a time. The Burnsville businesswoman has lovingly created Heather's Dirty Good, an original line of meat seasonings that eschew heavy salt content in favor of full-force flavor.

All of Heather's Dirty Good products enhance and highlight flavors of what they are intended to be paired with--and many times, things
they were not intended to be paired with. One thing is consistent: the rubs are damn good on everything. Locally (Minnesota) created, sourced and produced, we can easily say supporting local never tasted so good.

This set includes five seasonings:

  • ORIGINAL: Rosemary, thyme, and garlic mixed with about 20 other herbs gives Original a leg up. Fantastic on lamb, steaks, chicken, pork and seafood.Word on the street is that it's also quite tasty in sauces, soups, pasta and pizza.

  • BURLESQUE: Cayenne, cocoa, salt and nutmeg make this an complex and fantastic rub on pork, chicken or as a base in sauces and chili.

  • CENSORED: Habanero, jalapeno and a few other peppers mixed lightly with garlic, paprika and black pepper. A true hot rub for those addicted to heat. Use on anything and everything. Not recommended for Norwegians.

  • SOPHISTICATION: Chipotle, powdered beer (yep, that's a thing!) and honey mixed with herbs and spices. Outstanding with ribs and as a base for BBQ sauce.

  • VINTAGE: Juniper Berries, smoked paprika, brown sugar mixed with herbs and spices. A well-rounded seasoning that pairs well with everything, especially wild game. Want it spicier? Mix in some Censored with it. We dare you.
