If your middle or upper school child has shown or expressed an interest in architecture, here is a way to give him or her a taste of what it might be like to become an architect. At least for a day!
Pittsburgh Architect – and WT Board Member – Paul Rosenblatt AIA NCARB, Founding Principal of Springboard Design (www.springboarddesign.net <http://www.springboarddesign.net> ) is offering the opportunity for a WT middle or upper school student to shadow him for “Day in the Life” of an Architect.
Make drawings, visit a construction site, meet clients and consultants – in short, get a taste of what it is like to be an architect. Springboard Design is a creative architectural firm whose clients include museums and cultural facilities, health service organizations, colleges and universities, religious organizations and private individuals. Their work includes the expansion of the National Aviary, UCP/CLASS Corporate Headquarters, and the recent Teenie Harris exhibition at the Carnegie Museum of Art.
