Item Description
Ever wonder what this 3D printing craze is all about? Have a concept for a better mousetrap? Are there ideas flying through your brain that cry out for some CAD software and a roll of filament?
The Maker Movement isn’t just for kids. You can bid on a once in a lifetime opportunity for you and a friend to spend an afternoon with the 2015 Carnegie Science Center High School Educator Award Winner, WT’s own Mr. Graig Marx, in a product development session that takes you from idea to design and prototyping to manufacturing.
The session includes a hands-on introduction to iterative design, CAD modeling, 3D scanning, and 3D printing. Before the session, you’ll meet with Mr. Marx to brainstorm ideas for your session. At the end of the session, you’ll take home a product that you dreamed up, designed, engineered, and manufactured with a 3D printer.
This 3-hour experience is especially suited for 2 adults, but is open to one adult and a child who is at least 9 years old.
