Item Description

But I Only Like White      Retail Value $156

Gilbert Picq Chablis Vosgros 2012, Vosgros, Chablis, Burgundy, France

International Wine Cellar 93:

Bright yellow. Inviting, almost austere aromas of candied lime peel, mint and minerals; about as different from the Vaucoupin as another Chablis could be. Then taut and dry on the palate, with salty, mineral-driven flavors of oyster shell, flint and crushed rock. There's something almost riesling-like about this wonderfully brisk wine. Finishes fine-grained and very long, with superb tension and lift.

Melville Chardonnay Estate Santa Rita 2010, Santa Rita, Central Coast, California, USA

International Wine Cellar 92:

Bright yellow-gold. Pungent aromas of pear skin, iodine, anise and green cardamom. Shows intense orchard fruit and lemon pith on the palate, with a chalky mineral quality adding lift. Closes on a chewy note, with lingering notes of bitter citrus and quinine and impressive length. This is even better with an hour or so of aeration so don't hesitate to decant it.

Trimbach Riesling 2008, Alsace, France

Wine Spectator 90:

There's a pleasant salty tanginess to this wine, underscoring flavors of Gala apple, grapefruit and stone, with a hint of petrol. Clean and well-defined by the firm acidity, yet well-meshed and elegant overall, with a mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2020.

Ramey Chardonnay Sonoma 2010, Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo, Central Coast, California, USA

International Wine Cellar 92:

Ramey's 2010 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast is laced with lemon, pastry, crushed rocks and mint. Beautifully delineated and focused, the 2010 stands out for its energy and verve. This is a gorgeous entry-level offering.

Huet Vouvray Le Mont Sec 2007, Vouvray, Touraine, Loire Valley, France

International Wine Cellar 92+:

Pale gold. An expressive, mineral-laced bouquet displays lemon and lime zest, passion fruit, pungent herbs and talc. Juicy but taut, offering tangy citrus and orchard fruit flavors, with a strong mineral spine adding lift. Becomes weightier and spicier with air, finishing on a juicy note of yellow plum, with strong sappy, stony persistence. This is still a baby.
