These simple yet sumptuous women’s summer desert boots are made of distressed light brown suede. They were crafted by George Esquivel who was inspired by the extraordinary Felipe Santiago Gutiérrez’s painting Portrait of a Woman with a Marigold (Retrato de dama con Xúchil) in LACMA's permanent collection.
George Esquivel has been designing custom-made shoes since 1994. Esquivel is a modern American workshop specializing in rare, handcrafted leather shoes and accessories, which are made with leather sourced from the best tanneries in the world. The line marries luxurious materials with edgy silhouettes in unusual, hand-burnished color combinations that seek to reinvent tradition for the 21st century and create a new heritage brand.
