About Camp Cody:

Camp Cody is a premier traditional New England summer camp for boys and girls, founded in 1926.  Nestled on the sandy beaches of beautiful Lake Ossipee amidst the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Cody offers a summer experience rich in fun, friendship, learning and adventure.  Campers range in age from seven to fifteen.

Campers travel from across the USA and a dozen countries to attend Cody's two and four-week sessions.  Our convenient location just 2 hours north of Boston makes getting to camp easy for families around the USA and the world.

Cody is situated on nearly one hundred acres of naturally wooded property and a mile of superb sandy shoreline on Lake Ossipee. Our lake is four miles long and two miles wide with a natural sand bottom and is warm and clear. Our magnificent National Forest setting provides us with unlimited outdoor opportunities, in addition to the many in-camp activities we offer.

Daily Activities:

Team Sports

The extensive sports program at Cody offers activities for everyone. Whether a camper is just learning a sport, has average ability, or is a star performer, coaches emphasize developing skills and enjoying the game. Girls and boys who want the excitement and challenge of team sports can compete in games and tournaments against other camps in the area.  Cody's sports include:

Waterfront

At the Cody waterfront we teach exciting activities with an excellent camper-to-counselor ratio and maintain the highest levels of supervision and safety.  All waterfront activities are taught by nationally certified instructors using the best equipment available.

From swimming, to sailing, water-skiing, windsurfing and more, campers take full advantage of the truly outstanding waterfront at Cody. Cody has use of nearly a mile of sandy beachfront on Lake Ossipee, a warm, clear spring-fed lake that stretches four miles long and two miles wide. For maximum safety, there are separate areas for swimming and boating, each closely monitored by certified waterfront personnel.

In the swimming area, experienced American Red Cross lifeguards and swim instructors conduct swim lessons for girls and boys at all levels of skill and experience. Snorkeling is also taught at the swim pier.

In the boating area, Cody campers have access to nearly fifty boats, including sailboats, kayaks, canoes, funyaks, windsurfing boards and three power boats for water-skiing. The boat-pier area is under the direct and careful supervision of more than twenty instructors, and all power boats are equipped with marine radios which link them to the shore and camp offices.

Waterfront activities include:

Individual Activities

Cody offers a wide variety of individual activities in addition to the sports and waterfront programs. These diverse offerings round out Cody's program and give campers the opportunity to discover new talents, develop skills and explore the limits of their creativity in an environment that is safe, supportive and conducive to learning and having fun.
