Comes from "The Levee", an international print portfolio linking Alan Lomax' theory that the birth of the Blues evolved from the building of the Mississippi River Levees. 4 Mule Team image split by bisecting river and levees. Has shown in 12 exhibitions in 3 countries, and is in numerous public and private collections. The OldTime Eight Hour Shift--this refers to the Levee worker's daily schedule--eight hours work before lunch and eight hours after--they worked from "can see to can't see".
