Item Description
The piece is an art quilt measuring 16" X 24". The fabrics are a combination of commercial batiks and cottons, hand dyed cotton and silk Dupioni. Among the batiks are an Alaskan design from an artist in Fairbanks. It is a one of a kind original design and is titled "Balance". The rock cairn and center panel are intentionally off center as a reminder that our lives are imperfect and yet our intention is to find the boundless joy that makes our lives as they should be when we embrace the imperfections. Rock cairns are known as totems for hikers and for the practice of meditation. The images show the overall piece as well as some details.
