Imagine yourself scanning the skies in a real military aircraft in search of an enemy airplane.  You spot the bogey at 3 o’clock, break turn hard, and the fight is on.  Up, down, and around.  Pulling G’s, making quick decisions until you out maneuver your opponent.  Victory is yours!

This is the perfect gift for the guy or gal who has everything or for that thrill-seeker in your life.  No pilot’s license required.  Just be prepared to suit up, take the stick for 90% of the time sitting next to your instructor, and really FLY!!

Item Special Note

• Gift certificate is for one person to participate in the Basic Fighter Maneuvers/Phase I mission.
• There is no age limit, though it is recommended that participants be at least teenages since they will be doing 90% of the flying and it will most likely against an adult.
• Participants must weight less than 250 lbs. and be no taller than 6'6" in height.
• Course duration is approx. 2-1/2 to 3 hours.  Upon arrival you will suit up in flight suit and attend ground school, where you will learn safety procedures, tactics and maneuvers, rules of engagement, and the physiological effects of G-force.  Then you will grab a parachute and helmet, and climb into the cockpit along side your instructor pilot for the actual air combat mission.  Alongside your instructor pilot, your will practice formation flying, basic maneuvers, and engage in 5 - 6 dogfights.  The entire flight is recorded on mini DVC from three onboard cockpit cameras and the tapes are used for de-briefing and yours to keep.
• Air Combat USA is absolutely committed to safety.  Their aircraft are maintained in strict accordance with Federal Air Regulations and instructors, both military and civilian, have enviable credentials.  Most are former military pilots from the Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps., several are graduates of Red Flag and the Navy Fighter Weapons School. The military rules of engagement establish safe minimum altitudes and distances between the Aircrafts throughout the maneuvers.  Their proven training techniques will put you at ease at the controls and give you the confidence to execute even the most complex air combat maneuvers for an amazing flying adventure.
• The guest pilot will sign a “waiver of liability” at the airport before they fly.  If under 18, they will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian to sign the waiver on their behalf.
• Concerned about motion sickness - Less that 10% of the guest pilots suffer from motion sickness.  You are far less likely to become ill while in control than as a passenger.  Also, you will be taught to focus on your opponent at all times and not the horizon, ensuring the kill and providing a more stable reference point.  The instructor is there to help make your flying adventure more enjoyable in case you feel uncomfortable at any time.
• If you have a friend, family member, or sparring partner who wants to do this also (in a separate plane), you must contact Magical Music at Pamela.Crum@magicalmusic.org no later than May 12, 2014 to arrange for a second flight certificate to be purchased at the same price as the winning auction bid.
• The "Basic Fighter Maneuvers/Phase I mission" can be flown at any one of the 25 locations nationwide based on availability: Atlanta, GA; Atlantic City, NJ; Boston, MA; Charleston, SC; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Cleveland, OH; Detroit, MI; Ft. Worth, TX; Fullerton, CA; Houston, TX; Kansas City, MO; Kissimmee, FL; Lancaster, PA; Las Vegas, NV; Livermore, CA; Long Island, NY; Miami, FL; New York/New Jersey; Portland, OR, San Antonio, TX; Seattle, WA; St. Louis, MO; Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL; and Winston-Salem, NC.
• Flight certificate expires June 2016. No refunds will be granted.
